Aromatherapy works via the senses,
in particular smell and touch are important vehicles by which aromatherapy is delivered. Regardless of the application or
method used, aromatherapy primarily works on the physical level with animals. Essential oils (and hydrosols) will have varying
effects on an animal's physiology.
Many people strongly believe in the beneficial effects delivered by certain
aromatherapy oils for a variety of conditions and ailments.
Lavender oil is a wonderful aid to
a restful sleep.
Eucalyptus and Peppermint does wonders for sinus.
Frankincense
has anti-flammatory and antibacterial qualities.
Lemon and Orange are good deodorizers.
Juniper Berry is stimulating to the circulatory system. Rosemary is stimulating & revitalizing. Chamomile is intensely calming & soothes nerves. Cinnamon is a powerful deodorizer & room air cleaner. Grapefruit is uplifting & calming as well as deodorizing. There are many more essential oils that can benefit our pets and ourselves.

 Like so many of us who own dogs and other pets, we are concerned about what we give them to eat and what products
are good or harmful for them. Everyday household products can be harmful for our pets. Poor diet and nutrition can cause dull
coat, allergies, odor, low spirits, dental problems and more. All of this can mean a trip the your Veteranarian who may then
prescribe medicines, ointments, prescription diets, blood work, etc.. All this can get expensive. If you feed your pet a good
quality food, nutritional supplements, and make sure they are not exposed to carcinogens and provide them with proper exercise,
your vet visits will be far and few between. This is all just common scense to me! I like to burn candles for the smell and spiritual affect on the mind
& body. I started noticing the difference between the "cheap" candles and the ones that were a little more expensive
and became concerned about what the products were actually made of. I decided to look at the ingredients and ask questions.
No one seemed to know what was in the "cheap" candles. The more expensive candles when asked, were made of 100%
soy and all natural fragrances and essential oils.
I started thinking about my self, my family and my DOGS! I started researching essential oils and the benefits they
have on our selves and our canine companions. I am the owner & breeder of 7 beautiful German Shepherds and 1 Pembroke
Welsh Corgi and I want what's best for them.
This has lead me into a world of Canine Scents. I want my candles to benefit our dogs needs and also be good for
the environment in which we live.
About Canine Scents
*Canine Scents candles are hand-made
by me at NordOsten Kennel.
*No harmful ingredients. We use the best Soy Wax with no
additives or coloring.
*We only use pure essential oils & natural fragrances that will
benefit your dog.
*Our candles do not increase the CO2 level in the atmosphere and produce
less soot, about 90% less than paraffin candles.
*Soy candles last longer than paraffin
candles and spills clean up easy with hot soapy water.
*We do not add any colors, hardeners
or other additives, therefore our candles only come in a natural creamy white.
*Aromatherapy
is known to work with animals & humans on multiple levels; physically, emotionally, conditionally, evolutionally
& spiritually.
*Humans have approximately 45-50 million scent receptors, while dogs
have an average of 200 million.
*Not only will your dog benefit from our candles, your home
will smell nice too!
Think about this;
We use cleaning products and products to make our home look &
smell clean. Supplies to clean floors leave a residue in which our pets walk on (then our pets lick their paws). Sprays give
off aromatic molecules of the cleaning product in which our pets inhale. Because pets live closer to the floor than we do,
they are far more prone to poisonings with environmental toxins than humans are!
We should be cautious about the use
of any cleaning products in our homes that house animals. The aroma my Canine Scent candles give off are not harmful to your
pet.
